Gold Reserves worth more than 3,000 tonnes found in uttar pardesh.

After two decades of search, Geological Survey of India and Uttar Pradesh Directorate of Geology and Mining have discovered two goldmines having around 3,350 tonne gold ore in the Naxalite-affected Sonbhadra district. The discovery of gold deposits is around five times the current gold reserves of India, which is around 626 tonne.Sonbhadra in Uttar Pradesh has hogged national and international headlines after geologists discovered massive gold deposits in the second largest district of the state. As per estimates, there are two goldmines with around 3,500 tonnes of gold ore in the Sonbhadra district, which is around five times the gold reserves of the countries

"The government is thinking of putting these deposits on lease for mining, for which a survey is being done. Gold deposits have been found at two places -- Sonpahadi and Hardi field. GSI estimated gold deposits of 2,700 tonnes in Sonpahadi, while 650 tonne in Hardi field," KK Rai Mining Officer told new agency ANI

Conclusion: As this is 5 times India's current reserve

-After the tonnes of gold mine discovery GSI is headed towards the discovery of uranium 

-Tonnes of uranium is expected to be found in the Kudri hill region. The GSI team has dug the hill at three locations for uranium samples.follow below link.
