GST on Moblie phones increased from 12% to 18%

The mobile phones to cost more as the GST included is more from 12% to 18%

An additional 6% is going to be added as the ongoing tax of 12% as GST as this decision of hike of rates on mobile phones was taken by the finance minister Nirmala sitaraman on the 39th GST council meeting.

The purchasing of Mobile phones will be affected from 1st April 2020 up from the existing 12%

As the smartphone industry is on the verge of struggling due to the doller increament against rupees as the industry is already being effected from 'COVD19' as the countries have taken its measures of imports and exports to China amid the growing of the fatal coronavirus disease.

The VP of Xiaomi and managing director of Xiaomi india Manu kumar jain tweeted the possibility of affecting of the mobile market industry as of increasing % of GST 

As the various mobile brands will also increase the price as the response of increase in GST.
